Bellevue Community Center donated 105 hope totes to the Sunday Breakfast Mission in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The students of the Bellevue Community Center personally packaged each bag with essential materials for the homeless. Each personal care bag included a Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Conditioner, Socks, Gloves, and personalized message from some students.
Bellevue has participated in making hope for the last three years. The materials were largely donated by Bellevue Community Center, with several donations from the surrounding Wilmington communities.
All the totes were hand-delivered to Alex Close, Director of Projects and Development at Sunday Breakfast Mission.
Household items like slippers, razors, shaving cream, and deodorant were also donated for residents of the Mission.
Compact hygiene materials are especially beneficial to those who may be experiencing homelessness during the pandemic. Bellevue was honored to take part in making a difference.
